Hi! I’m Jen Van Orman, the quilter behind Heritage Threads. I didn’t get serious about quilting until I was 8 months pregnant with my second son in 2015 and haven’t looked back since. Some of my work has been seen in Make Modern Magazine, Quiltmaker’s 100 blocks, Missouri Star Quilt Co., and Moda Bake Shop. I tend to gravitate towards a more modern aesthetic with nods to traditional quilt blocks and patterns.
I have two sons and a daughter. Making quilts for my husband and children truly brings me joy. We might not have a homemade dinner every night, but we do have mom-made quilts on every bed to keep us warm and snuggled at night. My husband is the graphic design side of this business and helps make my pattern dreams come true.
In addition to quilting and working with fabric, I enjoy embroidery, baking (not cooking!), taking naps, and going on walks to hunt for Pokemon with my family.
