For those of you who are up to date and following along with the Clementine Quiltalong, Month 2’s blocks are up and available on the Fat Quarter Shop blog! They are called the Broken Berries Block. Once again, there is a 12.5″ block and a 20.5″ block. They come together relatively quickly with some chain piecing and pack a fun punch!
If you like to have a little extra room for trimming half square triangles (HSTs), I suggest upping the measurements for the pieces which become HSTs by 1/4″. I sew with a very scant 1/4″ seam and I did not have space to trim some of the pieces as much as I would have liked. Other than that, they are very straightforward and are really fun to watch come together!
As always, a donation of $5 is suggested per month’s pattern you use and you can donate here: St. Jude’s + Fat Quarter Shop. Are you quilting along? Are you staying caught up? It’s been a really fun thing for me to participate and have something to look forward to sewing each month.
