This skinny churn dash version is inspired by Hoosier Toni’s skinny churn dash 6.5″ block. I love the look of “nesting” blocks and this churn dash is no exception.

Center churn dash:
White-
(2) 1 7/8 X 1 7/8″
(1) 1 X 6 ½” (1) 1 ½ X 1 ½”
Print:
(2) 1 7/8″ X 1 7/8″
(1) 1 X 6 ½”

Draw a line marking the center on the 1 7/8″ squares. Sew on either side to yield 4 HSTs. Trim to 1.5″ square.
Sew the 1 X 6 ½” strips together. Press. Cut (4) 1 ½” squares. Assemble the center. Trim to 3.5″

Outer churn dash:

White AND print (2 each) 2 ½” X 2 ½”
(1 each) 1 ¼” X 14″

Follow instructions above except trim HSTs to 2 X 2″ and strips to 2 X 3.5″.
